Massachusetts Commercial Summer Flounder Fishery to Open on October 12

Effective 0001 hours October 12, fishing vessels issued a Federal moratorium permit for the summer flounder fishery may again land summer flounder in Massachusetts. 

Massachusetts has 16,294 pounds remaining of the 2015 commercial quota. The fishery will remain open until the quota is harvested, at which time we will send out another notification.

Vessels landing in Massachusetts are subject to the state possession limits. Please check with the state for the latest regulations.
