FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
December 20, 2016

NOAA Fisheries seeks comments on the data collection requirements for amendments to two fishery management plans

We are looking for comments on:

  • Whether the proposed collection of information is necessary and useful;
  • Whether the agency's estimate of the burden (hours and cost) on respondents is accurate;
  • Ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and
  • Ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on respondents, including through the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology.

The comment periods for both close on December 27, 2016.

Please note: We are seeking comments on the data collection only. The measures implemented by Amendments 5 and 14 are in place and not open for public comment.
