NOAA Fisheries Announces Closure of New Jersey's Commercial Summer Flounder Fishery Through December 31

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
November 30, 2017

Effective today, NOAA Fisheries has closed New Jersey's summer flounder fishery through December 31, 2017. This closure is required because New Jersey has reached or exceeded its quota. The state of New Jersey closed its fishery on November 25, 2017.

Federally permitted vessels fishing for summer flounder may not land in New Jersey for the remainder of 2017.
