Past Endangered Species Days Activities

NOAA Fisheries' Northeast Regional Office announces a series of activities and events in recognition of May 21, "Endangered Species Day."

"The purpose of Endangered Species Day is to highlight national conservation efforts to save our threatened and endangered species and their habitats," said Patricia Kurkul, northeast region administrator, NOAA Fisheries Service. "Endangered Species Day is a call to everyone with a shared interest in conserving these species to collaborate and promote awareness."

NOAA has planned a variety of activities and events throughout the Northeast region over the next few weeks to provide the public with more information on the work being done to protect and recover threatened and endangered species and things they can do to help in this effort.
