Anadromous Fish Conservation Act

Anadromous Fish Conservation Act of 1965 projects are conducted for the conservation, development, and enhancement of anadromous fishery resources (those that migrate from salt to fresh water for spawning) including similar species in the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain. Many projects funded under this program are critical elements of larger multi/ funded programs to manage, restore or enhance United States anadromous species such as Pacific and Atlantic salmon, Atlantic and shortnose sturgeon, and American Shad and river herrings
