Atlantic Mackerel

Notice

When 2,753 mt (6,069,326 lbs) is projected to be landed before May 1, or when 3,196 mt (7,045,974 lbs) is projected to be landed after May 1, trip limits will be reduced to 40,000 pounds for Tier 1-3 limited access permits and 5,000 pounds for incidental/open access permits. When 3,539 mt (7,802,159 lbs) is projected to be landed, a 5,000 pound trip limit would be implemented for all permits for the rest of the fishing year to cover remaining incidental catches.

Tier 3 closes at 90% of the Tier 3 quota (7% of total quota).
