In Trimester III, the directed longfin squid fishery is closed if:

Longfin squid landings are projected to reach 90% of 5,847 mt (from May 1 to August 15) Longfin squid landings are projected to reach 22,932 mt (48,027,704 lb: 95% of the annual quota)

The butterfish discard cap reaches 95% of 660 mt (from May 1 to August 31). The butterfish discard cap reaches 3,690 mt (8,135,057 lb) (95% of the 3,884 mt annual quota)
