NOAA Fisheries Closes CT Summer Flounder Fishery Through Dec 31

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
December 22, 2016

Effective today, NOAA Fisheries has closed Connecticut's summer flounder fishery through December 31, 2016. This closure is required because Connecticut has reached or exceeded its quota. The state of Connecticut closed its fishery on December 18.

Federally permitted vessels fishing for summer flounder may not land in Connecticut for the remainder of 2016.
