2020 Atlantic Large Whale Entanglement Report

Abstract

This report summarizes all the reported confirmed U.S. east coast large whale entanglements, all North Atlantic Right Whale entanglement cases, and cases in Canadian water from the Bay of Fundy to Halifax, Nova Scotia.  This report should not be considered a comprehensive summary of all large whale entanglement interactions, but rather a minimum that was reported to NOAA and our network partners.
